During the address, President Mahama announced that Ghana’s economy is stabilising and gradually returning to growth.

He acknowledged that recovery has been challenging but reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to restoring stability and providing relief to Ghanaians.

The President noted that key economic indicators are showing positive signs, with improving fundamentals pointing to a sustained growth.

He stated that his government prioritised discipline and reform over waste and speculation by tightening spending controls, improving reporting on government payables, and auditing financial commitments made in 2024.

President Mahama concluded that the Resetting Ghana agenda is working and placing the country back on a path of stability and growth.

“Mr Speaker, I told this august House when I appeared before you last year that we would have to take tough, prudent and necessary decisions to restore stability and credibility. Today, I can say with confidence: Ghana is back. Ghana is working again. And Ghana is open for business”, he said.
