The West African Examinations Council wishes to inform its numerous stakeholders that it has released provisional results of 41,767 candidates who sat the West African Senior School Certificate Examination for Private Candidates, 2025 — Second Series.
To check the WASSCE for Private or Nov/Dec results, an index number, Date of Birth, and a WAEC Result Checker Card, which includes a Serial number and Personal Identification Number (PIN), are needed.
To purchase the WAEC result checker card online, visit or dial the shortcode *713*3998# on your smartphone to buy the results scratch card and pay with Mobile Money (MoMo).
Shortcode to buy 2025 WASSCE second series results checker
1. Dial *713*3998# on your mobile phone
2. Select option 2 (for WASSCE Results Checker)
3. Select option 1
4. Authorise payment, and after that
5. Receive the result checker details via SMS after successful payment
6. Visit to check your Nov/Dec result.
How to check Nov/Dec results
1. On the web browser on your phone (Eg Chrome or Safari)
2. Visit Nov/Dec results portal
3. Enter your Index Number.
4. Select the Type of Examination (e.g, WASSCE Private).
5. Select your Examination Year (eg, 2026).
6. Enter the Serial Number found on the Result Voucher
7. Enter the 12-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) on your Result Voucher (eg, 012345678912).
8. Confirm your Index Number and Examination Year. (This is to ensure that your examination information is correct.)
9. Click on the Submit button
10. Click “Agree” to agree to the consent agreement and wait for the Nov/Dec or WASSCE for Private results to display in the pop-up window.
(I herby agree that access to my results uploaded online shall be subject to inter alia, the following conditions: full settlement of fees owed, if any, to the school through which I registered for this examination as a candidate;
In the event of any anomaly in accessing the results, provided that condition (1) has been met, to immediately liaise with The West African Examinations Council for the resolution of the issue.)
NB: The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has introduced the above terms and conditions for checking the West African Senior School Certificate Examination for School results.
