The bishop further warned against the suppression of critical thinking within these groups. Cults typically discourage dissent and promote unquestioning obedience. He also noted that cult leaders often set unrealistic demands, requiring followers to dedicate excessive time, resources, and energy.
Lastly, Tsedu-Muntswu pointed out the manipulative tactics used by cult leaders, including emotionally charged language, guilt-tripping, and fear-mongering, all designed to control their followers.
