Kwame Obeng Asare, also known as A Plus, a politician and entertainment pundit has stated that he is not concerned about rumors circulating that he would be barred from running in the legislative elections during the nomination process.
He indicated in an interview that the NPP members in power cannot prevent him from running as an independent in the 2024 parliamentary elections.
He claims that in an effort to prevent himself from running for office and to test the viability of the party’s parliamentary candidate, he is putting out a challenge to the government.
He added that if the NPP is serious about ending their eight-year tenure in office, A Plus asked them to start helping the people of the Gomoa Central constituency through developmental initiatives.
A Plus who was formerly an NPP member plans to run as an independent parliamentary candidate in the Goma Central constituency of the 2024 elections.
