Fast-rising Ghanaian musician, Black Sherif, has expressed disappointment that his colleague, Wendy Shay, was nowhere to be found in the TGMA’s Artist of the Year Category.
The “Sermon” hitmaker expressed his disappointment in an exclusive interview with Kafui Dey, which GH Page sighted.
Black Sherif has said that Wendy Shay deserves to be among the musicians nominated in the Artiste of the Year Category.
He went on to add that, apart from the fact that Wendy Shay deserves it, nominating her would also go a long way to empower women to work harder than they have.
The “Sermon” hitmaker believes that even though the industry is male-dominated, if the right things are being done, women could be empowered to work extremely hard to make names for themselves.
He stated “I would say I don’t like how people are not mentioning Wendy Shay’s name for the Artiste of the Year category. I don’t really like the division but if I am taking everything as real as it is and seeing things for what it is, and seing things for what it is, I will say I don’t like how they are not mentioning Wendy Shay for artiste of the year because I feel she is eligible for artiste of the year this year. We should empower women”.
