Ghanaian musician and entrepreneur Mzbel has shared her views on LGBTQ issues, saying she sees nothing wrong with people’s sexual orientation or personal choices.
Speaking in an interview with Nana Romeo on February 8, 2026, Mzbel said people’s private lives should not be subjected to judgment, stressing that same-sex relationships have existed for generations and will continue to exist.
According to her, members of the LGBTQ community often possess unique qualities that contribute to success in various aspects of life.
“LGBTQ is not a big deal. I don’t find anything wrong with what people choose to do with their sexual lives. People of the same sex having relationships didn’t start today, and it won’t end now,” she said.
Mzbel described gay people as having a blend of masculine and feminine traits, which she believes gives them a special kind of energy that drives achievement.
“The truth is, gays are very successful people. They have a special kind of energy that helps them succeed,” she stated.
She added that spirituality does not discriminate against individuals based on sexual orientation and that everyone should be free to live in a way that brings them happiness.
“Spirituality has nothing against anyone’s sexual life. If what you’re doing is good for you, then that’s your business,” she explained.
Mzbel also said she naturally enjoys being around gay people because of their positive and lively nature.
“I like gay people because they are fun to be with. When you’re around them, there’s positive energy,” she said.
She further claimed that many influential figures abroad surround themselves with members of the LGBTQ community, whom they believe help create positive outcomes and success.
