Ghanaian gospel artiste Mavis Asante has shared intimate details about her marriage, disclosing the challenges she has faced and the values that have kept her union strong over the years.

Speaking in an interview on Hitz FM on February 10, 2026, Mavis disclosed that she has experienced the ups and downs that many married women go through, but expressed gratitude that her husband has never been abusive.

According to the singer, although marriage comes with its fair share of emotional struggles, mutual respect, honesty, and understanding have helped her relationship thrive.

“I’ve cried; I’ve done all the things that every woman will do or go through in marriage. One thing I will give to my husband is that he never raised his hand at me. when he does something wrong and I talk about it, he doesn’t repeat it,” she said.

She noted that their willingness to correct mistakes and communicate openly has strengthened their bond over time.

‘These are the things that build us together, and we got to a point that we decided not to keep any secret from each other,” she shared.

The gospel artiste further revealed the level of trust in their marriage, stating that both partners have access to each other’s finances without taking advantage of it.

“I know his MoMo pin, but I don’t take advantage of it. He knows mine too. When he deposits money in his account, I get an alert on my phone,” she added.
