Ghanaian gospel artist turned television host, Empress Gifty Adorye, has firmly stated her commitment to Despite Media, making it clear that she has no intentions of parting ways with the media company.
Empress Gifty expressed that her affiliation with the network is long-term, and she sees herself as a permanent part of the organization, with nothing capable of changing that.
Empress Gifty shared insights into how she came to work with the media giant, particularly after the departure of popular TV host Nana Ama McBrown.
According to her, she was initially approached to step in and take over McBrown’s role on United Showbiz following McBrown’s exit.
However, due to her busy schedule at the time, she couldn’t accept the offer immediately.
Eventually, she secured a position hosting U-Cook, a cooking show produced by the company, and she has since expanded her role within the network.
Currently, she serves as a temporary host for United Showbiz while MzGee, the regular host, is on maternity leave.
Empress expressed immense satisfaction with her role at UTV, stating that she genuinely enjoys her work and has no intentions of leaving the station—unlike her predecessor.
