Kwabena Kwabena is a Highlife musician
Highlife musician Kwabena Kwabena has opened up about the emotional pain and personal struggles that inspired one of his songs, Mene Woa.
Speaking in an interview with Doreen Avio on Hitz FM on January 27, 2026, the singer disclosed that the song was born out of real-life heartbreak and a period when he felt powerless in a relationship.
According to him, he composed the track from a place of deep emotions after losing the woman he loved to another man.
“The song I composed out of pure emotions and true-life situations will be `Mene Woa’. I was helpless around that time,” he said.

He continued, “I was in love and someone was trying to take my woman from me. he succeeded in snatching her from me.”
Kwabena Kwabena explained that the incident happened before he rose to fame, at a time when he had not yet established himself in the music industry.
“At the time, I wasn’t really the Kwabena Kwabena you know today,” he added.
