Nana Agradaa also known as Evangelist Tupac has falsified claims that she faced issues with the law of Ghana because of scamming numerous church members.
Speaking in an interview with Nana Ama McBrown on Onua Showtime, Evangelist Tupac gave a blow-by-blow account of what really happened, leading to her arrest and imprisonment.
Sharing her story, Nana Agradaa noted that after being a fetsihe priestess for 20 years, she decided to share 300k Cedis among her church members to contribute her quota not only to their development but as a Christian.
The woman of God shared that she put a camera on herself to flaunt the 300k Ghana Cedis that she wanted to share among her church members only to find out later that it was against the laws of Ghana.
According to her, after her video went viral, some three people who weren’t part of her church decided to workship with them, hoping that they could get some of the money to be shared.
Nana Agradaa disclosed that the three people contributed and had 1k Cedis, but one of them couldn’t make it to the church, and unfortunately, the two that attended couldn’t also get the money that was shared.
She went on to note that the two people whose money was 660 Cedis out of the 1k Cedis decided to report her to the police over fraud, which she insists isn’t true.
“It was just 1k Cedis that sent me to jail. After I turned a new leaf from being a fetish priestess, God helped me to build a church. After I launched the church, I told God that people became fetish priests and priestesses, and after two years, they would die. But I did that for 20 years and nothing happened to me. So, I wanted to donate 300k to the women and my church members to a large extent”, she said.
She went on to admit that “I flaunted the money in a video which according to the law, is prohibited”.
She stated in furtherance that “Number 2, two people said that they believed that if they came to my church, they could get their share of the money, even though they weren’t part of my church. Frankly speaking, the number of people became many and more than I even expected so not everybody got some of the money. Three people felt offended for not getting some of the money. These three people contributed and had 1k Cedis, but one of them couldn’t make it, so, the two whose money was 660 Cedis dragged me to the police for scamming them and that is the issue that sent me to jail”.
According to Nana Agradaa “After a month and two weeks, I had a bail, but after three good years, the trial was over and I was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment with hard labor”.
