Prophet ElBernard has apologised for his failed prophecy in the NPP presidential primaries
Prophet Bernard ElBernard Nelson-Eshun has publicly apologised after his prophecy that Kennedy Ohene Agyapong would win the NPP presidential primaries failed to come to pass, with provisional results indicating that Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is on course to retain his position as the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer.
ElBernard had made the prediction through a book, videos, and media interviews, declaring that Kennedy Agyapong would emerge victorious.
However, following Saturday’s January 31, 2026, elections, he admitted his error in a detailed public statement shared via his Facebook page.
“That word did not come to pass. I missed it. I was wrong, I am deeply sorry, and I ask for your forgiveness,” he stated.

He acknowledged the weight of his public declaration and took full responsibility for his actions.
“Because I spoke publicly with prophetic authority, many people trusted my word, and some were affected emotionally, spiritually, and politically. I acknowledge this with humility. I take full responsibility for this prophetic word. I do not blame anyone or shift responsibility. I accept that this prophecy, as declared, failed,” he added.
The prophet also expressed regret to those who acted based on his message.
“I sincerely apologise to everyone who trusted my word and was hurt, disappointed, or negatively impacted in any way,” he said.
He added that the experience has caused him to “pause, reflect, and realign myself in accountability and discernment regarding how prophetic revelations are communicated.”
