A former actor from Ghana, who has now moved into a law enforcement position in the United States, recently shared the significant moment when he made the life-changing decision to leave his successful career in the Ghanaian film industry for new opportunities abroad.
In an exclusive interview with Poleeno of Poleeno Multimedia monitored by News & Vibes, the actor, known affectionately in the entertainment industry as Otumfour Nana and formally as Nana Boakye, candidly discussed the challenges he encountered while in Ghana and how his choice to relocate to the USA marked a crucial shift in his personal journey.
Offering an intimate glimpse into his experience, the actor revealed that a notable reason for his departure from acting was a disturbing incident involving the renowned Ghanaian pastor, Prophet Ebenezer Adarkwa Yiadom, widely known as Opambour.
Reflecting on their collaboration on a film project focused on Opambour’s life, the actor recounted a sequence of alarming events that occurred afterward, culminating in Opambour allegedly casting a curse on him, which instilled a sense of fear and led to his swift exit from Ghana.
In addition, he stressed that his move to the United States was largely motivated by a desire to start a new chapter in his life, liberated from the burdens of previous challenges and with the hope of a brighter future ahead.
