Ghanaian actor and comedian Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lil Win, has shared his aspiration to meet two influential figures: the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and American rapper Lil Wayne. In an interview on Opemsuo Radio, monitored by News & Vibes, Lil Win expressed his admiration for these two individuals and his persistent efforts to meet them.
“In this world, there are two people I really want to meet: Nana [Asantehene] and American Lil Wayne,” Lil Win revealed. Despite his best efforts, meeting the Asantehene has been challenging. “All efforts to shake the hands of Asantehene have proved fruitless, but I am still hoping,” he said.
Lil Win’s attempts to meet Lil Wayne were also met with obstacles. He recounted an instance when he traveled to Los Angeles to attend a show featuring the rapper, only to find it sold out. “I went to Los Angeles, I tried but couldn’t because it was sold out. I would have climbed the stage to meet him.”
The admiration for Lil Wayne runs deep, as Lil Win adopted his stage name from the rapper, albeit with a different spelling, reflecting his appreciation for Lil Wayne’s music and influence.
