I’m Done with Marriage, But Not with My Ex-husband – Actress

Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola has stirred conversation with her latest revelation about her personal life — she no longer desires marriage, but she’s open to having more children with her former husband.

Toriola, who went public last year about the breakdown of her marriage, previously cited recurring arguments and emotional distress as reasons for their split.

At the time, she revealed that her ex would often throw hurtful words at her during conflicts, leading to the eventual collapse of their union.

In a recent interview, the actress gave a fresh update, saying her ex-husband once told her that even if they reconciled, she might not make a good wife to him. However, she noted that he also commended her for being a great mother to their child.

The actress shared that the two of them are currently co-parenting and have found a rhythm that works for them, even though they are no longer romantically involved.

She also mentioned that her ex-husband hasn’t remarried, although she isn’t certain if he’s seeing someone else at the moment.

While she made it clear that marriage isn’t on her radar anymore, Toriola didn’t rule out expanding her family — and surprisingly, she hinted that she’d be willing to have more children with her former spouse despite their past.

The candid remarks have sparked debates online, with many fans reacting to her unconventional outlook on love, parenting, and co-parenting dynamics.

In her statement, she said, “I’m not interested in getting married now, but I want to have more babies with my ex-husband. My ex-husband told me that I may not be a good wife to him if we come back together, but he later told me that I’m a good mother to our children. He’s not married to another person yet, but I can’t say if he’s already in a relationship, but right now we’re co-parenting very well.”
