Ghanaian musician Nero X has made it clear that his involvement in the 2024 presidential elections, where he publicly endorsed John Dramani Mahama, wasn’t driven by personal gain or expectations of a political appointment.
Unlike some of his colleagues who have since been rewarded with roles under the new NDC-led administration, Nero X insists that his motivation was purely nationalistic.
He explained that his support for Mahama stemmed from confidence in the former president’s ability to transform Ghana—not a calculated move to secure a position.
Although he remains open to serving in a role that aligns with his career and values, Nero X emphasized that patriotism, not opportunism, was at the heart of his political stance.
Outside the political space, the “Osey” hitmaker is still active musically. On March 29, 2025, he released a new track titled Low Key.
The song draws from personal experiences, chronicling the highs and lows he has encountered in his journey through the music industry.
According to the singer, the single serves both as a personal diary and a motivational anthem, urging fans to remain resilient and driven, regardless of the challenges they face.
He stressed that Low Key also reaffirms his presence in the music scene—subtle but intentional.
Looking forward, Nero X revealed that he’s working with his team on a major project expected later this year. Whether it turns out to be an EP or a full album, fans can anticipate more content and deeper storytelling from the artist in the coming months.
He also encouraged supporters to stay engaged with his music online and follow him for updates.
