Top Ghanaian music producer and CEO of Highly Spiritual Music, Kaywa, has shed new light on the mysterious exit of his former signee, Kurl Songx, who left the label in 2019 without any official notice.
During a radio conversation, Kaywa opened up about the events that led to the split, pointing to internal conflict and mounting external pressure as major triggers behind the abrupt departure. According to him, the atmosphere at the label had grown tense, and differences had started to emerge—not just between the artist and the management but also with other signees on the roster.
He explained that one of the challenges in managing multiple talents is the tendency for some artists to feel neglected, especially when others receive more public attention. The growing perception that Kurl Songx was being sidelined reportedly fueled dissatisfaction, further amplified by fans and media personalities who encouraged the singer to explore other opportunities.
Kaywa said the situation spiraled to a point where the artist made the decision to leave, but surprisingly, never communicated it formally to the label. Despite the circumstances, the producer chose not to contest the exit at the time.
However, the story took an unexpected turn when, after some time away, Kurl Songx made a return to the label—this time, reportedly with a transformed attitude and a heartfelt apology for the way things ended.
Kaywa, known for promoting growth and forgiveness, accepted him back, stating that he believes in giving people second chances and is now focused on building a more positive relationship with the returning artist.
Their renewed collaboration signals a fresh chapter for both parties, one that fans hope will lead to a new wave of hits from the once-troubled but now reconciled partnership.
