Head Pastor of Zion Prayer Ministries International, Prophet Fire Oja, has denied reports suggesting that he has been arrested by the Ghana Police Service.
In a post shared on his official Facebook page on January 6, 2026, the cleric dismissed the claims as false, stating that he was at home and not in police custody.
“Still chillin’ at home yesterday and today, vibin’ life, and people are running wild with fake news, saying I’m in cells. I have never been arrested,” the post read.
Despite the denial, some social media users have questioned the authenticity of the statement, suggesting it may have been posted by a handler rather than the pastor himself. Others have urged him to go live on video to personally and clearly address the rumours.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Police Service reportedly arrested Prophet Fire Oja on January 5, 2026, in connection with alleged defamatory comments made about musician Mzbel.
The pastor is accused of claiming that the singer had been ill, hospitalised in Kasoa, and had engaged in what he described as “soul travel” after her recovery.
Mzbel had earlier stated in an Instagram post that she had reported the matter to the police and that the pastor had subsequently been arrested.
