Popcaan is a Jamaican Dancehall artiste

Jamaican Dancehall musician Andre Hugh Sutherland, known professionally as Popcaan, arrived in Ghana on January 27, 2026.

In videos shared online, the ‘Unruly’ boss was seen at the office of media personality Bola Ray. During their conversation, Popcaan mentioned that he would be in Ghana until February 1, 2026.

Bola Ray, who serves as an ambassador for GoldBod Jewellery, told the Dancehall artiste that he plans to take him to one of the brand’s showrooms to purchase gold.

Popcaan responded that he is known as the “Prince of Gold” and would love to visit.

“We’re actually arranging a meeting for you to meet with executives of the GoldBod Jewellery brand. Let’s see how it goes. Because we’re going global. Ghana has qualified for the World Cup as well, and we really want to showcase a lot of what we have out there through our gold,” Bola Ray told Popcaan.

Popcaan is not new to the Ghanaian entertainment space. He has visited several times, collaborated with Ghanaian Dancehall acts, and even filmed music videos in the country.

His official video for “Promise” was predominantly shot in Ghana, showcasing locations such as the Aburi Botanical Gardens.
