JB Danquah’s wife marks 10 years of his passing with touching tribute

In a statement commemorating the anniversary on Monday, February 9, the family said that although a decade has passed since his death in 2016, his presence continues to be deeply felt in their hearts and daily lives.

They described the late lawmaker as a man devoted to serving God, his family, his constituents, and the nation, exemplifying humility, diligence, strong principles, and a warm, indelible smile.

“Your values endure. Your counsel still guides us. Your example still instructs us,” the tribute read, highlighting the lasting influence of JB Danquah’s leadership and character.

The family expressed gratitude to God for the gift of his life and the years they shared with him, pledging to honour his memory not only in words but through actions that reflect the values he stood for.

Born on July 2, 1965, JB Danquah was serving his first term as Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North when he was tragically killed in his residence on February 9, 2016, an event that shocked the nation and prompted widespread calls for justice.

He is fondly remembered by his wife, Ivy, his children Anima and Adobea, as well as the Heward-Mills, Jones-Quartey, and allied families.
