Ghanaian Afro-dancehall star Stonebwoy has claimed that his 2024 hit song Jejereje played a role in helping the National Democratic Congress (NDC) secure victory in the 2024 general elections.

Speaking at the launch of Ghana’s fundraising campaign for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the award-winning artiste said his contribution to the party’s success came through his music, particularly the release of Jejereje during a critical period.

“When we talk about contributions, I believe that my contribution has been very significant in winning power for the NDC,” he said, before singing part of the song’s chorus.

According to him, the track was intentionally released at a time when political tensions were high to ease the atmosphere. He linked the song to the party’s “reset” agenda, noting that it reflected his personal belief in the concept.

“I did it mainly because I am somebody who really believes in reset. So, in my own judgment, I made sure that the music was dropped at a moment when there was some ease in the system because it was very tense,” he explained.

Stonebwoy further revealed that the song was produced within a short timeframe, emphasizing the effort and investment behind it.

“The song was put together in under 24 hours by me and a capable team of producers and cost at least $20,000,” he added.

So Stonebwoy now claims his pre-2024 election jam ‘Jejereje’ was secretly coded for Mahama & the NDC to win power? 😂 We’ve heard you loud and clear, boss. Thanks for the ‘contribution.’
