The Chairperson of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Election, Joseph Osei Owusu, has called on party delegates to remain calm and vigilant as the party goes to the polls to elect its flagbearer.

Osei Owusu gave the advice after casting his vote earlier in the day. The former Member of Parliament for the Bekwai Constituency emphasised the need for peace, order, and discipline throughout the electoral process.

Speaking to the media, he explained that voting officially commenced at 7:00 a.m. and will end at 2:00 p.m. at all designated polling centres across the country.

He further noted that votes will be counted and results declared at the various polling centres before being forwarded to the regional centres for collation. The final results will then be transmitted to the national centre for the official declaration of the winner.

Joseph Osei Owusu therefore urged all delegates and party officials to strictly adhere to the rules and regulations governing the election, stressing that compliance will ensure a transparent, credible, and peaceful exercise at the end of the day.
