Joyce Blessing Predicts TGMA Artiste of the Year Winner But Fears Unfair Outcome

The Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) has once again become a hot topic of discussion following the announcement of nominees for its 26th edition.

One of the most talked-about categories is the prestigious Artiste of the Year award, which recognizes the most outstanding performer in the Ghanaian music industry over the past year.

Among the many voices sharing their opinions, gospel musician Joyce Blessing has publicly declared her support for King Paluta, stating that he is the most deserving winner.

Speaking in an interview on Joy Prime, she praised his talent, work ethic, and achievements, emphasizing that he has done enough to take home the top honor.

However, despite her strong endorsement, Joyce Blessing admitted she has concerns about whether King Paluta will actually receive the award.

She pointed out that in previous years, artists who clearly stood out in the industry were sometimes overlooked, leading to doubts about the final outcome.

To her, King Paluta’s impact in the past year cannot be ignored, and his contributions to the Ghanaian music scene make him a strong contender.

Still, she fears that industry politics or other unforeseen factors could prevent him from winning.

As a second option, Joyce Blessing mentioned Team Eternity Ghana, a gospel group that has also been nominated.

She stated that if King Paluta is not awarded, then Team Eternity would be a worthy winner, as they have also made waves with their music.

King Paluta is competing for the Artiste of the Year title alongside Stonebwoy, King Promise, Black Sherif, Kweku Smoke, Joe Mettle, and Team Eternity Ghana.

Each of these artists has had a remarkable year, making the competition particularly intense.

This year’s TGMA is set to take place on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the Accra International Conference Centre, where the ultimate winner will be announced.

Until then, fans and industry insiders will continue to debate who truly deserves the crown.

With Joyce Blessing’s backing, many will be watching closely to see if King Paluta secures the title or if her fears of him being overlooked come true.
