Kasoa: Sakawa boy and girlfriend burnt to death over share of fraud money
A tragic incident in Kasoa has resulted in the death of 22-year-old Kwabena Osei and his 19-year-old girlfriend, Princess, both of whom were killed in a deliberate attack carried out by friends.
The gruesome event is said to have been motivated by a dispute over GHS 190,000 in ill-gotten gains, allegedly from internet fraud activities.
Kwabena Osei, reportedly part of a group involved in online scams, became the target of his own colleagues after he decided to keep the entire sum for himself.
Despite numerous confrontations and pleas from the gang to share the money, Osei remained firm in his refusal. His refusal to divide the proceeds of their illegal activities led to escalating tensions within the group.
In an act of brutal revenge, his fellow gang members took matters into their own hands, pouring petrol over his residence and setting it ablaze.
On the day of the attack, Osei’s girlfriend, Princess, was with him at the time and tragically perished in the fire alongside him.
It is believed that Princess was also part of the gang and played a key role in their schemes, pretending to be a foreign woman during fraudulent communications.
Both Osei and Princess met a horrific end as a result of the conflict over the stolen money.
This harrowing incident has shocked many and serves as a reminder of the deadly consequences that can arise from criminal involvement and greed.
