✍️ Rewritten Story

Kennedy Ohene Agyapong’s campaign team has announced the formation of a nationwide Anti-Election Rigging Response Squad ahead of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Presidential Primary scheduled for January 31, 2026.

The team, led by Joojo Rocky Obeng, Director of Elections for Agyapong’s campaign, said the move comes in response to fears that the primary could be manipulated to favour another candidate. According to him, the squad has been rolled out across all 276 constituencies to guard the integrity of the vote.

The campaign believes that Kennedy Agyapong stands the best chance of winning if the process is transparent. They claim that spiritual revelations have also confirmed his victory in a free and fair contest but cautioned that vigilance is necessary to prevent irregularities.

“Our leader has sent a strong message to all stakeholders that no one should attempt to rig this election,” Obeng emphasized, adding that the newly formed unit is ready to resist any unlawful interference.

The upcoming primary will decide who leads the NPP into the 2028 general elections. The race has drawn five candidates: Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the party’s 2024 flagbearer and former Vice President; Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, MP for Assin Central; Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, former Education Minister; Dr. Bryan Acheampong, former Agriculture Minister; and Kwabena Agyapong, a former NPP General Secretary.
