Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has emerged as the clear front-runner in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential race, according to the latest Phase Three delegates’ survey conducted by Sanity Africa ahead of the party’s primaries scheduled for January 31, 2026.

The survey, released in January 2026, places Agyapong firmly in the lead with 52.0 per cent support among NPP delegates.

This performance consistently reflects an advantage across successive survey phases. He polled 51.4 per cent in July 2025, climbed to 53.1 per cent in October 2025, and currently stands at 52.0 per cent in the most recent findings.

Former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia remains second in the race, securing 40.0 per cent support in the January 2026 survey. While this represents a modest improvement from the 39.0 per cent recorded in October 2025, it is still below the 42.2 per cent he achieved in the July 2025 poll.
