Former Assin Central MP, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has stepped in to support traders in Adum, Kumasi, who lost their goods in the recent market fires.

Upon his return from an overseas trip, he made a visit to the affected area to provide both financial and material assistance.

His arrival at the Adum Railways area was met with enthusiasm, as traders welcomed him with cheers.

Accompanied by the local Member of Parliament, Agyapong took time to interact with the traders and acknowledge the devastation caused by the fire.

Speaking at the gathering, he commended the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, for the steps taken so far to assist victims.

He also emphasized the need for collaborative efforts in rebuilding the affected sections of the market.

To support the traders, Agyapong donated GHC 100,000 in financial aid. Additionally, he provided 200 streetlights to enhance security and improve lighting conditions in the Railways area and its surroundings.

To ensure proper allocation, he entrusted the funds and streetlights to the local MP, stressing that they should be distributed efficiently to serve their intended purpose.
