The KGL Foundation has inaugurated a newly renovated 24-seater water closet toilet facility for the boys’ dormitories of the Presbyterian Senior High Technical School (PRESEC) at Adukrom in the Okere District.
The project, an upgrade from a previous 12-seater facility, is a direct response to the school’s appeal and is expected to address the critical sanitation needs of over one thousand male students.
It also complements two earlier mechanised boreholes provided by the Foundation to the institution.
In an interview, the Foundation’s Head of Programmes, Nii Ankonu Annorbah-Sarpei, stated that the intervention underscores the foundation’s commitment to student welfare and educational infrastructure.
“This upgrade reflects our dedication to creating a conducive learning environment.
The KGL Foundation, as the corporate social responsibility arm of the KGL Group, is focused on driving sustainable social impact through strategic interventions in Health, Education, Entrepreneurship, Youth Empowerment, Arts, Culture, and Sports,” he explained.
Mr Annorbah-Sarpei added that the foundation’s investments are fundamentally aimed at transforming the lives of Ghanaians.
Maintenance
The Headmistress of the school, Mary Lomokie Amlalo, expressed profound gratitude to the KGL Foundation for the gesture, noting that it will greatly improve sanitation standards in the school as it replaces the old facility which had been in a deplorable state.
The facility
She assured the foundation and the community that the school authority would implement a strong maintenance regime to ensure the facility is preserved for the benefit of current and future students.
