With the countdown to the 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards underway, Ghanaian singer KiDi has thrown his full weight behind his chart-topping hit ‘Lomo Lomo,’ confidently proclaiming it as the song to beat this year.
In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), the Lynx Entertainment signee didn’t mince words, asserting that ‘Lomo Lomo’ is unmatched in its category and should dominate every field it’s nominated in. KiDi was clear about his stance, emphasizing the song’s impact and reach, which he believes put it far ahead of any competition.
However, despite his confidence, KiDi acknowledged that victory lies in the hands of his fans. He urged them to show up and vote if they truly believe in the song’s merit, stressing that audience support could be the ultimate game-changer.
‘Lomo Lomo,’ which features fellow star Black Sherif, is up for four prestigious awards at this year’s ceremony: Best Afrobeats/Afropop Artiste(s), Best Afrobeats Song, Collaboration of the Year, and the coveted Telecel Most Popular Song of the Year.
The much-anticipated event is set for May 10, 2025, and will be hosted at the Grand Arena in Accra — a night expected to celebrate Ghana’s biggest musical talents.
