Ghanaian music artist Rotema, born Joshua Ametor in Koforidua, is setting his sights on global fame with his debut release.
Influenced by iconic figures like Bob Marley and Michael Jackson, Rotema’s early years were shaped by a deep connection to music, nurtured by his grandmother’s diverse taste in sounds.
From a young age, Rotema was surrounded by music, with his grandmother’s dawn gospel sessions and Peter Tosh’s tunes filling their home. This unique upbringing ignited his passion for Afrobeats and Highlife, genres that now define his musical style.
Rotema’s journey into professional music began in 2018, but it was in 2024 that he truly launched his career. His debut EP, “Healing,” released this year, has garnered positive feedback from both fans and critics.
The EP demonstrates Rotema’s ability to create engaging music, whether with or without instrumental backing.
With a clear vision for his future, Rotema is committed to reaching a wider audience and taking his music to the global stage.
His dedication to continuous growth and learning underscores his ambition to make a lasting impact on the international music scene.
