Revealing a deeper insight into his current situation, the talented “Belinda” singer shared that the fallout from working with Ghana’s acclaimed rap artist, Sarkodie, still affects him to this day, despite the considerable time that has passed.

Recounting the process that led to his involvement, he recalled simply providing vocals based on the first verse he heard from Sarkodie, only to later discover that a misunderstanding had arisen about the song’s political connotations.

Expressing his ongoing disappointment with the situation, Kuami Eugene emphasized that he never intended to be perceived as endorsing any political affiliations through his music.

As the confusion persisted, he found himself constantly having to clarify his stance, emphasizing that his contribution to the song was solely rooted in the intention of entertaining fans and music enthusiasts.

Discussing the challenges he faces due to his involvement in the controversial track, “Happy Day,” Kuami Eugene shared his personal struggle with the aftermath.

Recalling frustrating encounters where he is questioned about political matters beyond his control, he expressed his discomfort with being associated with political implications that were not part of his original intention for the song.

“I am still suffering for that (feature). I don’t know what conversation sparked the fact that it should be Kuami Eugene. I just did the chorus from the first verse I heard from Sarkodie and it ended up that way. I have to explain myself for the rest of my life that I am not part of it being an NPP song.”
