Kumasi Girl Duped by Accra Pastors After Seeking Shelter for School

A young nursing student named Suzan has come forward with startling claims against a pastor and his assistant, accusing the two of colluding to steal her GH₵6,000 rent money.

Suzan, who hails from Kumasi but now resides in Accra for her studies, shared her ordeal in an emotional interview with MFK on Lawson Afisem. She explained that she was initially not a regular churchgoer but decided to start attending services after meeting a pastor and his junior minister, known as Henry and Papa J.

The trouble began when Suzan reported late to school and had nowhere to stay or keep her belongings. With limited options, she accepted an offer to stay at Papa J’s home temporarily.

Among her personal items, Suzan had carefully kept GH₵6,000—money meant to secure her accommodation in Accra. But things took a dark turn when she later discovered that the money had mysteriously vanished.

Eventually, Papa J reportedly admitted to taking the cash. However, despite several efforts, Suzan has been unable to retrieve the stolen amount.

To her shock, she later learned that the incident was not isolated. Allegations emerged suggesting that the senior pastor and Papa J had previously targeted other church members in a similar manner—leaving Suzan devastated by the betrayal.

The case serves as yet another troubling example of spiritual figures allegedly exploiting the trust of their congregants.
