A Nigerian woman has sparked a viral conversation online after revealing the shocking list of “commandments” sent to her by a man she had just started getting to know romantically.
The drama unfolded on TikTok, where she posted screenshots of the outrageous demands under the caption:
“POV: My talking stage gave me commandments and rules.”
According to the chat, the man, identified only as Richie, said he wanted to share what he likes and dislikes in relationships. But what followed left the woman—and the internet—stunned.
Instead of preferences, Richie sent a list of eight hardline rules titled “My Commandments”, which included controlling and isolating instructions such as:
- Delete all male contacts from your phone.
- Call me on video every time you leave the house and stay on the call until you return.
- Stop wearing short clothing—everything must be at least three-quarter length.
- Don’t use your phone unless you’re calling me.
- Leave your current church (Winners Chapel) and start attending mine (Watchman).
- Only communicate with me and your parents—and not daily with your parents.
- Cut off all male friends, including those named David or saved as “Blood.”
- Avoid everyone else—male or female—I should be the only person you talk to.
The woman, shocked by the sheer audacity of the rules, wasted no time in rejecting the list and calling him out for his extreme behavior.
The post quickly exploded online, with TikTok users flooding the comments to weigh in. While many were stunned, others used humor to process the absurdity, joking that the man might be auditioning for dictator of the year.
