Prophet Nicholas Osei, popularly known as Kumchacha and founder of Heaven’s Gate Ministries, has made waves with a striking forecast for Ghana’s 2028 general elections.
During a recent interview on Journey to Heaven with No. 1 FM’s host PK, Kumchacha predicted that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) would emerge victorious, citing the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) ongoing internal divisions as a key weakness. He compared the party’s infighting to the biblical Tower of Babel, where confusion disrupted collective efforts.
The outspoken religious leader clarified that he does not belong to any political party, asserting that he speaks only what he perceives as the truth. He added that his interest lies in religious and pastoral matters, and he would consider any role in government strictly if it allowed him to reform and discipline the pastoral space. Kumchacha highlighted misconduct among some pastors, including disturbing practices targeting married women, as issues he would aim to address.
On the subject of the NPP, Kumchacha refrained from naming a preferred leader for the party, emphasizing that regardless of who becomes the flagbearer, internal discord will hinder their chances in the next elections. He noted that factions led by key figures such as Bryan Acheampong, Kennedy Agyapong, and Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia continue to undermine cohesion, generating confusion akin to the biblical story he referenced.
The prophet suggested that the party’s discord might paradoxically continue because it serves some internal purpose, though he did not elaborate further.
Kumchacha’s comments have sparked intense discussion online, especially around his prediction of the NDC’s return to power and his vivid comparison of NPP’s internal battles to ancient biblical confusion.
