The Paramount Chief of the Kwamang Traditional Area, Nana Debrah Boateng Bediako, has been successfully inducted into the Ashanti Regional House of Chiefs.
It comes after he swore allegiance to the King of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, in accordance with Asante Tradition.
His induction occurred on December 19, 2025, during which he took three oaths, namely the Oath of membership, the Judicial oath and the Oath of secrecy.
While counselling the new member at the instant of the Asantehene, Barima Sarfo Tweneboa Kodua, Kumawuhene, encouraged the traditional leader to commit to the task and mandate ahead.
He stressed the need for punctuality and regular attendance in the House’s activities.
“Offer Nananom the requisite reverence. You can tap into the knowledge in humility. Be true to the oath of secrecy you have sworn. We will continue to guide you.”
This was during the last meeting of the House presided over by the Occupant of the Golden Stool.
