Hussein Ibrahim, aide to the Ashanti Regional Minister, has praised businessman Ibrahim Mahama for his generosity and commitment to supporting vulnerable Ghanaians, describing him as an example for other business leaders in the country.

His comments follow reports that Ibrahim Mahama offered to establish a cement distribution and construction hardware depot for Emmanuel Asamoah, a Ghanaian who recently returned from South Africa after reportedly experiencing xenophobic attacks.

Speaking during a discussion on Oyerepa Breakfast Time with host Akua Asieduaa, Hussein Ibrahim said the gesture demonstrated compassion, patriotism and a strong commitment to helping citizens rebuild their lives during difficult times.

“Businessmen in Ghana can learn a great deal from Ibrahim Mahama’s generosity and commitment to supporting people in need,” he stated.

According to him, the support extended to Emmanuel Asamoah goes beyond charity and represents a meaningful effort to empower a Ghanaian who had returned home after facing hardship abroad.

He noted that initiatives such as the establishment of a business outlet could help create long-term economic stability for affected individuals rather than offering only temporary assistance.

Hussein Ibrahim further urged wealthy individuals and corporate leaders in Ghana to emulate such acts of support and contribute towards improving the lives of struggling citizens.

The comments come amid growing concerns over the safety of some African migrants in South Africa following reports of renewed xenophobic attacks in parts of the country.
