As the year draws to a close and the festive season unfolds, the Chairman of the Christ Apostolic Church International (CACI), Apostle Samuel Amponsah-Frimpong, has delivered a message of hope, responsibility and spiritual grounding to Ghanaians.
In an exclusive interview, the Apostle reflected on the nation’s spiritual journey, the role of the Church in shaping ethical citizenship and his heartfelt wishes for staff, congregants and the wider public as the country prepares to enter 2026.
Speaking at the CACI Headquarters, Apostle Amponsah-Frimpong emphasised that Christmas should not be viewed merely as a season of celebration, but as a period for realigning one’s life with the teachings of Jesus Christ. “In this festive season, let Jesus Christ be your ultimate focus. The decorations will come down, the celebrations will fade, but Christ remains our eternal anchor,” he said.
He noted that Christmas presents an opportunity for spiritual recalibration and urged Ghanaians to resist distractions, while anchoring their lives in faith, compassion and sober reflection.
With the festive season often characterised by increased travel and social activities, the CACI Chairman cautioned citizens to exercise personal responsibility. “Watch what you eat, watch what you drink, and most importantly, do not drink and drive. Your life is precious not just to your family but to God and the nation,” he warned.
He also called for a spirit of communal vigilance, urging Ghanaians to look out for one another both on the roads and within their communities.
Apostle Amponsah-Frimpong paid tribute to the dedication, humility and tireless service of CACI staff across the country, including pastoral, administrative and auxiliary workers. “To every staff member across all our assemblies, your labour in the vineyard is not in vain. You have carried the mission of Christ with excellence,” he said.
He acknowledged that the growth and strength of the Church are sustained by men and women who serve selflessly, often without public recognition.
Reflecting on his hopes for the nation in 2026, the Chairman highlighted the importance of national unity and moral responsibility. “A nation rises on values. If we cultivate honesty, discipline and compassion rooted in Christ, we will see transformation beyond what policies alone can deliver,” he stated.
He encouraged leaders in public institutions, families, businesses and churches to model integrity, transparency and genuine service to society.
The Apostle concluded with a message of goodwill and prayer for the nation. “I wish all our staff, our congregations and every citizen a Merry Christmas and a prosperous, peaceful 2026. May the light of Christ guide your decisions, calm your storms and elevate your purpose,” he said.
