Man confesses to murdering 41 women and wife
Kenyan police have arrested a man who has confessed to murdering 42 women, including his own wife. The suspect, Jomaisi Khalisia, 33, was arrested on Monday morning at a bar in Nairobi, where he was watching the Euro final.
According to police, Khalisia confessed to luring, killing, and disposing of the bodies of 42 women at a dumping site in Mukuru, Nairobi.
The victims, aged between 18 and 30, were all killed in a similar manner, with their bodies found in various stages of decomposition.
The police were led to Khalisia after a forensic analysis of a mobile phone belonging to one of the victims, Josephine Mulongo Owino.
The analysis revealed mobile money transactions conducted on the day Owino went missing, which led police to Khalisia.
Khalisia’s confession has sent shockwaves throughout Kenya, with many calling for justice for the victims and their families.
The police are still investigating the motive behind the killings and are working to establish whether Khalisia acted alone or had accomplices.
The arrest and confession have also raised questions about police involvement in the crimes, with the Independent Police Oversight Authority launching a preliminary investigation into possible police connection.
The case has sparked outrage and horror in Kenya, with many demanding answers and justice for the victims. The police are working to ensure that Khalisia faces the full force of the law and that justice is served for the victims and their families.
