A man lost his life in a tragic and gruesome accident at the Odaseni Hotel during the early hours of the morning after a night of excessive drinking ended in disaster.
According to accounts from the scene, the victim, who has yet to be identified, was seen heavily intoxicated late into the night. After what appeared to be hours of drinking, he reportedly climbed onto a table and dozed off around 3 a.m. on the hotel premises.
Things took a fatal turn around 5 a.m. when he attempted to get down. Still under the influence and visibly unstable, he lost his footing and fell directly onto a sharp metal object nearby. The metal pierced his body, causing extensive injuries that proved fatal before any assistance could be rendered.
The horrifying discovery has left both staff and patrons at the hotel in shock, as the area where the incident occurred was cordoned off pending investigations.
Authorities are yet to release the man’s identity or confirm whether an official autopsy will be conducted. His body has reportedly been removed from the scene as investigations continue.
