A Ghanaian man has revealed how his marriage of over three decades was shattered after learning that his wife had been romantically involved with another man for most of their union. Speaking on Oyerepa FM, he detailed the long journey from suspicion to painful confirmation.
He explained that unusual shifts in his wife’s behaviour first raised alarms many years ago. Those suspicions lingered for almost ten years as he observed her quietly, unsure of how to confront the matter. When the changes became too hard to ignore, he informed her relatives that he no longer wished to remain in the marriage. Her family, however, insisted that any formal separation could only proceed if both families met officially — a step he eventually postponed.
Still without solid proof, he returned home determined to uncover the truth. For about ten months, he monitored her activities and eventually decided to secretly record her calls. One particular moment confirmed his fears. His wife claimed she was travelling to attend a funeral, but the recording captured a conversation shortly after she left — one that exposed her intimate connection with another man.
From that moment onward, more recordings revealed similar relationships involving other men. The evidence was overwhelming.
When he finally confronted her, she admitted to the long-running affairs and insisted she only did so because she believed he was being unfaithful too. The confrontation left her distressed, even collapsing from the emotional tension.
For the husband, the discovery marked the complete breakdown of the trust he once placed in their marriage. After spending 32 years together, he expressed how devastating it felt to realise he had unknowingly shared his wife with others for nearly 24 of those years.
