Man who killed and run away with head of a cattle herder arrested
A suspect in the killing of a cattle herder in Alabota, close to Dorfor, has been caught by locals in the Volta Region’s North Tongu region. Seledzi Dotse, the suspect, was turned over to the local police and is presently being held.
The defendant was approached by the victim, a Fulani cow herder, over the suspected killing of one of his livestock, according to sources. The herder died on Wednesday, July 17, after the suspect is said to have stabbed him with a machete.
Assemblyman Tse Jupiter Azietor verified the occurrence and said that following the attack, the perpetrator fled with a portion of the victim’s skull. After a manhunt was initiated, the suspect—who had fled—was eventually captured by locals.
The murder investigation is currently receiving assistance from the suspect. Authorities are attempting to resolve the situation as it has sparked worries about violence in the area.
