A Ghanaian filmmaker has found himself in deep trouble after posting a disturbing video in which he threatened to kill police officers. The man, identified as 32-year-old Israel Agbo Forson, is now in custody following a court decision to remand him while investigations continue.
The events began on June 18, 2025, when Forson was riding in an Uber near Wisconsin University. A police patrol team stopped the vehicle for a routine check and requested to inspect both the car and the occupants’ belongings. While the driver cooperated, Forson challenged the officers, insisting they wear gloves before touching his items. Tensions rose quickly, and Forson began recording the confrontation on his phone.
To avoid further escalation, all parties agreed to move the situation to the Taifa Police Station. There, a search was conducted in the presence of the District Commander. Nothing incriminating was found, and Forson was released on police enquiry bail.
But just days later, Forson sparked national concern when he uploaded a new video online, angrily declaring that he would kill any police officer who dared confront him again. The video quickly spread across social media, prompting a swift response from law enforcement.
By June 23, 2025, police had traced the viral clip back to Forson. He was arrested at his home, though a search of his premises did not uncover any weapons or illegal items. Still, the content of his video was enough to land him in legal hot water.
Appearing before the Dansoman Circuit Court, Forson pleaded not guilty to charges related to threatening death. However, due to the seriousness of the threat and the potential public safety risk, the court opted to keep him in custody as the legal process unfolds.
The case has been adjourned, and Forson remains behind bars as authorities delve deeper into the matter.
