Minister of Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovations of Ghana, Sam George has disclosed why numerous Nigerian criminals are in Ghana.
Speaking to the media in parliament, Sam George bragged that data prices in Ghana are extremely low, adding that it is for that reason that numerous Nigerian criminals are in Ghana.
Sam George noted that what he is saying is not fabricated, but he learned that in a talk with the Nigerian High Commissioner.
“That bundle, the Nigerian High Commissioner said to me is the reason why we are seeing a lot of Nigerian criminals coming into Ghana, because the internet is the cheapest in the sub-region when you use the 399 bundle. We have stable electricity”, he said.
“When we did the DStv value addition as well, people complained about it, but today those who are paying 190 cedis and are watching the Premier League appreciate what it is that we did. When we start the SIM registration, and people do this seamlessly in the comfort of their homes, people will appreciate what we are doing,” he added.
