Ghanaian media executive and emerging recording artiste MC KIKI has unveiled a new single titled “Blackstars (Pride of Africa)”, a patriotic release aimed at rallying support for the national team ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The track marks a significant transition for MC KIKI, who is stepping into the spotlight as a performing artiste after years of working behind the scenes in Ghana’s media and entertainment industry.
MC KIKI, a trained chemist by profession, has built a diverse career spanning radio, live events and artist management, where he developed a reputation for audience engagement and strategic content development.
He began his journey as a radio marketer and presenter, later expanding into event hosting and organisation, with appearances on prominent platforms in Ghana and the United States, including the Ghana Music Awards USA red carpet.
Beyond his on-air and event work, he serves as Chief Executive Officer of Afro614 Multimedia, a media outfit focused on promoting African culture to global audiences, and also leads KMG Records, where he has been involved in artist development and music production.
Through these ventures, he has worked with artistes such as Fali Finest and Elizah, gaining industry experience that now informs his own creative output.
Speaking on the inspiration behind the song, MC KIKI indicated that the release is intended to go beyond football, positioning the Black Stars as a symbol of African pride and global cultural identity.
With “Blackstars (Pride of Africa)”, he adds music performance to his growing portfolio, signalling a broader creative evolution that merges his media expertise with artistic expression.
An official music video has also been released and is currently available on major streaming platforms.
