CLE Multimedia Limited has issued a public apology to three regional ministers after a guest on one of its programmes accused them of involvement in illegal mining.

In a statement released on November 20, 2025, the media company expressed regret over the claims made during an interview broadcast on November 18. The guest, Wendell Yeboah, had suggested that Dr. Frank Amoakohene, Ashanti Regional Minister; Rita Akosua Awatey, Eastern Regional Minister; and Joseph Nelson, Western Regional Minister, were allegedly linked to illegal mining activities.

CLE Multimedia clarified that the remarks were solely those of the guest and did not reflect the organisation’s views. The media house formally retracted the statements and extended an apology to the ministers for the unverified allegations.
