Daniella Mawusi Ntow Sarpong is the Cheif Fire Officer

Chief Fire Officer (CFO) Daniella Mawusi Ntow Sarpong has made history as the first female Chief Fire Officer of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), marking a transformative moment in the organisation’s leadership.

Her appointment was confirmed along with Samuel Basintale Amadu, Comptroller-General of the Ghana Immigration Service by President John Mahama at a commissioning ceremony on February 24, 2026.

With a distinguished career spanning over three decades, she has consistently demonstrated exceptional dedication, resilience, and leadership in fire safety, emergency response, and administrative governance.

Since her enlistment into the Service on November 1, 1992, as a Cadet Officer, and her commissioning as an officer on August 6, 1993, she has risen through the ranks with unwavering commitment.

Her appointment as Chief Fire Officer is a proof to her immense contributions and serves as an inspiration to future generations in emergency services.

Here’s the profile of Chief Fire Officer (CFO) Daniella Mawusi Ntow Sarpong

Daniella Mawusi Ntow Sarpong born on April 6, 1967 is a devoted wife and mother of four.

She had her early childhood education at KNUST Primary School in the Ashanti Region from 1973 to 1985.

She moved on to attend KNUST Secondary School from 1987 to 1989.

She also attended St Monica Secondary School Mampong in the Ashanti Region from 1980 to 1985.

Ntow Sarpong has a Diploma in Estate Management, from KNUST; enrolling in 1989 June and graduating in 1991.

She became the Cadet Officer Graduate, Fire Academy and Training School, James Town, Accra from November 1, 1992 to August 6, 1993.

She pursued a Master of Arts Degree in Human Resource Development MA (HRD) in University of Cape Coast from 2015 to 2016.

She also had her Senior Management Development Programme, at GIMPA from March to May 30, 2014.

She did her Postgraduate Diploma in Public Administration (GIMPA) in August 11, 2006.

She had her Postgraduate Certificate in Public Administration (GIMPA) on October 22, 2004.

Her strategic achievements, has also earned her a membership in the Chartered Institute of Management and Administrative Consultants (CIMAC), for her contributions to Ghana’s emergency services.
