Chiaky Otuteye was crowned winner of Miss Intercontinental Ghana 2025

Following the revocation of her title after social media bullying, in which she was labelled ‘not beautiful’ and ‘undeserving’ of the crown, Chiaky Otuteye has filed a lawsuit against Cloudz Entertainment, the organisers of Miss Intercontinental Ghana.

In an interview on Joy FM, shared on social media on February 21, 2026, Otuteye spoke about the emotional distress the cyberbullying had caused her.

Explaining what triggered her decision, she revealed that shortly after the online trolling began, the organisers called her and asked her to return her sash and crown.

According to Otuteye, who is also a medical doctor, the organisers claimed that the international body had received complaints alleging she did not meet their standards. As a result, she was disqualified, and the title was conferred on a new queen.

“They emphasised that when I was coming, I should bring my crown and sash. That was when I became fully suspicious because they said it was an official meeting. Initially, I was suspicious, but then I felt there was something fishy.

“Apparently, the international organisation said they had received emails from some concerned individuals who claimed that I did not meet their standards for the international pageant. Based on this, they made a decision to disqualify me,” she said.

Following these events, Otuteye has sued the event organisers and is scheduled to appear before the court on Tuesday, February 24, 2026.

Meanwhile, the organisers of Miss Intercontinental Ghana are yet to respond directly to the allegations.
