A new mother has opened up about her battle with partial facial paralysis during pregnancy, sharing her journey on X (formerly Twitter).

Her story, which quickly gained attention online, highlights the challenges of Bell’s palsy, a condition that affects the facial nerves.

She revealed that she was diagnosed with Bell’s palsy, which causes weakness in the facial nerves, leading to paralysis on one side of the face.

The condition made it difficult for her to smile, laugh, eat, drink water, close her eyes, or speak properly.

The mouth tends to bend to one side, and drooling may occur. Bell’s palsy commonly affects women in their third trimester or those who have recently given birth.

@ethan_onuBell’s palsy is a condition where the nerves on one side of a person’s face become weak (basically the person is paralyzed on one side of the face) making it difficult to smile, laugh, drink water, eat, close your eyes, you drool sometimes etcetra basically you can’t do anything with that part of your face. The person’s mouth bends to one side cause you can only talk with one part of your mouth. It is common in women in their 3 trimester or women that just recently delivered. I’ll make a video explaining it soon. #firsttimemom #bellspalsyrecovery #bellspalsy #fyppppppppppppppppppppppp #foryou #momiesoftiktok #ftm #pregnancyjourney #fyp
