“My Life Could End Any Day”—Dr Ntakra Ohene Opens Up About His Fragile Health and Osanju’s Final Days

Famed Ghanaian TikToker and UK-based doctor, Dr Ntakra Ohene, has revealed the backlash he faced after publicly sharing his cancer diagnosis. In a heartfelt interview, he recounted how social media users mocked him for opening up, urging him to seek treatment instead of “chasing clout.” But through that vulnerability, he connected with fellow TikToker Osanju—whose own battle with leukemia led to a bond that transcended content creation.

When Dr Ntakra Ohene first shared his cancer diagnosis online, he didn’t expect applause—but he also didn’t expect insults. The Ghanaian TikTok star and UK-based medical professional says he was slammed by social media users who accused him of oversharing and urged him to “go to the hospital” instead of posting videos.

But that vulnerable moment led to something powerful. Through TikTok, Dr Ohene connected with fellow content creator Osanju, who had been silently battling leukemia since childhood. Osanju reached out multiple times before Dr Ohene finally responded. What followed was a deeply personal exchange—one that helped both men confront the stigma surrounding chronic illness.

Dr Ohene encouraged Osanju to speak openly about his condition, reminding him that silence only deepens shame. Their bond grew stronger, with Dr Ohene even sending money to help Osanju purchase medication. “Some people told me not to say this,” he admitted, “but I know my life could end any day.”

Osanju, who passed away on September 1, 2025, had confided that fear of judgment kept him from seeking proper treatment. Dr Ohene’s openness gave him the courage to share his truth, even as his health declined.
