Ghanaian hiplife legend Okomfour Kwadee is showing major signs of recovery following a prolonged period under psychiatric care, according to media personality Ohemaa Woyeje.
Speaking during a June 21 appearance on United Showbiz, she revealed that the musician is currently in a stable condition after being admitted into a rehabilitation facility—thanks to a generous but unknown individual who took charge of his treatment.
Reports suggest that Kwadee’s condition has improved significantly. However, concerns remain about what happens next. As he prepares to leave the care home, there’s a growing urgency to find him a secure and drug-free environment to ensure he doesn’t fall back into old habits.
Ohemaa Woyeje further disclosed that the artiste’s mother, who is currently in Accra, has been actively seeking a safe and protective place for him to live. She is reportedly worried about his exposure to individuals who may tempt him into relapsing.
Efforts are also being made in collaboration with MUSIGA leadership to manage funds previously allocated to support Kwadee’s wellbeing. The aim is to find a living space that isolates him from negative influences while helping him maintain the progress made during treatment.
Though the identity of the person who enrolled him in the psychiatric facility remains unknown, the intervention has given Kwadee a fresh start—and fans across the nation are now watching closely, hopeful for a full comeback from the beloved artist.
