In an interview monitored by News & Vibes, Nana Appiah Mensah, CEO of Menzgold, has spoken out about his ongoing court case, revealing his unwavering optimism and resilience in the face of adversity.
Speaking to JoyNews’ Richard Kwadwo Nyarko, NAM1 reflected on the challenging journey, saying, “It has been painfully challenging, but what doesn’t break you will make you stronger.” He credited his faith in God’s word and promises for sustaining him throughout the ordeal.
NAM1’s remarks come after the court dismissed his no-case application, ordering him to open his defense. Despite this setback, he remains steadfast, assuring customers that Menzgold will fulfill its payment obligations once the criminal case is concluded.
The CEO’s resolve has inspired many, demonstrating that even in the darkest moments, strength and hope can prevail. As NAM1 aptly stated, “What God doesn’t permit doesn’t happen, so it is fine. It is very fine.” His unwavering faith and positivity have resonated with many, making him a symbol of resilience in the face of adversity.
In 2016, Nana Appiah Mensah founded Zylofon Media, a multimedia company that signed notable musicians and actors. The company expanded into the film industry, but was eventually shut down by the Ghana Securities and Exchange Commission.
Mensah faced legal issues related to Menzgold, another one of his ventures, which was accused of operating without a license and defrauding individuals through false pretenses. A warrant was issued for his arrest in January 2019, and he was charged with money laundering and fraud.
In 2023, the Attorney General took over the prosecution of the Menzgold case, and Mensah faced 39 counts of various charges. The case is ongoing.
